How We Grow
At Stone House Flowers, we grow flowers, and trees using regenerative farming practices. What this means generally is we grow without any synthetic fertilizers or herbicides and strive to build our soils naturally to restore the natural balance of the soil food web. We do minimal tillage and utilize certified Michigan produced compost and beneficial organisms to feed and protect the soil. We control pests through organic means. This regenerative practice sequesters carbon in the soil, where it is readily available to the plants we grow and drastically reduces our production of greenhouse gas. We treat our farm as an ecosystem where we strive to work in harmony with the land in order to produce great looking, healthy, fragrant, chemical free, locally produced flowers for you to enjoy.

Hello, welcome to our wonderful farm, my name is Patti and this is my home. I have had a passion for flowers my entire life. My husband Aaron and I are dedicated to growing beautiful flowers and living a healthy lifestyle. When we are not growing flowers, we are active in the outdoors which includes fishing, hiking, hunting, kayaking, and pretty much anything outdoor related. Together we maintain our 25-acre farm located in Goetzville, MI located on the Southeastern side of the beautiful Upper Peninsula. We grow dozens of flower varieties and produce thousands of gorgeous stems. These varieties include but are not limited to peonies, ranunculus, lisianthus, anemones, dahlias, snapdragon, stock, tulips, heirloom narcissus, straw flower, sunflowers, and zinnias. In addition to the flowers, we also grow chestnuts, apples, pears, cherry, honey berry, and oak. Our farm is utilized for commercial production, personal subsistence, and wildlife habitat. Our property is home to whitetail deer, turkey, grouse, songbirds, raptors, fox, coyote, wolf, and even an occasional moose. In addition, the flowers we grow create an oasis to millions of pollinators primarily made up of native birds, bees and beautiful butterflies. We produce flowers for retail, florists, DIY weddings, and wholesale. We look forward to having an opportunity to supply a product to you that we truly love and believe in.
Our buildings are all constructed with stones taken from the property that the glaciers deposited here long ago providing the idea for our name. We have a beautiful stone cottage which we can schedule for DIY wedding planning or floral arranging events. This not only provides you with beautiful flowers but a fun experience and lasting memories.
We sell flowers direct to customers and don’t offer online orders at this time.
Scheduling visits to our farm can be arranged by email or calling us at (352) 284-8571.

It may not look like it but it's true. Here in the Upper Peninsula, we are still in the grip of winter with overnight temperatures in the single digits and about 2 feet of snow blanketing us. However, we are currently planting our cold hardy flowers out in our hoop house getting a jump on the season. It is a great feeling to be planting again and dreaming of the color that will follow in a few short months. We are anticipating our first flowers in May with Tulips, Narcissus, Ranunculus, and Anemones displaying pops of pink, red, white, blue, purple, orange, and yellow. Those first blooms bring such joy after a long cold winter.
We love our customers, so feel free to contact us to schedule a visit.
